近年のマーケティングや連絡手段として重要なツールとなっているSNSですが、皆様は何を一番使っていますか？
今回のテーマは『SNS』についてシェアさせていただきます。
フェイスブック、インスタグラム、ツイッター、ライン、等のサービスは日本だけではなく、世界中で利用されています。日本では「SNS」（ソーシャルネットワーキングサービス）、またはソーシャルネットワーキングと呼ばれていますが、アメリカでは全く違う呼び方をされています。

一般的には「social media」(ソーシャルメディア)と呼ばれているのに、なぜソーシャルネットワーキングサービスと呼ばれるようになったのでしょうか？その理由はインターネットの発展により、個人が「メディア」を持ち情報をネット上に流し、その情報がまた人から人へ、グループからグループへ流れて行く様がまるで会話のようだったからと言われています。ソーシャル（社会的/社交的）なメディア（情報伝達の媒介となるもの）→社会的な繋がりによるメディアとなります。

ちなみにSNS（ソーシャルネットワーキングサービス）という呼び方が間違いというわけではありません。ですが、次回海外の方と話される時は海外で一般的に使われている「social media」(ソーシャルメディア)を使えば 社交的な会話が出来るはずです🌟

How Do You Say “Social Media” in Japan!?
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Line, and many other services are quite popular not only in Japan, but also across the world. 🌍While these types of services are called SNS (Social Networking Service) in Japan, it is actually called something entirely different in the United States. 🇺🇸
Social media is the term commonly used but why did they choose that name? It is because with social media, information is always flowing from one to the other, or from a group to another group, this is almost like a conversation, which makes things more “social”.💻

So, if you ever find yourself talking with someone from outside of Japan, be sure to use the phrase “social media” so they will know what you are talking about!
